Learning

Professional Development has never been more important. Professional development helps you recruit and retain employees - and enables those employees to do their best work.

Our learning opportunities help you do your best work, keep up with changing trends and technology, and stay informed

CNPE designed classes are always led by local nonprofit professionals, with deep insight into the sector as it operates in Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

Depending on the classes, we offer both in-person and virtual opportunities. Our popular School For Fundraising classes started in 2021 and are offered in collaboration with Ashley|Rountree.

We also offer classes in Board Governance, Nonprofit Leadership, Legal Issues, IT, and so much more.  Our Emerging Leaders certificate program, which typically runs from spring to fall each year, is a great overview of the entire scope of nonprofit leadership.

In addition, most of our convening opportunities have a learning component, such as our growing Power Hour Speaker series.

We will be announcing new classes soon!

Can't wait for one of our classes?

Our partnership with MindEdge means there's always something available right now - on demand, at your own pace, from anyplace with an internet connection. See our catalog of those classes here.

School of Fundraising

Since its inception, the School for Fundraising has served more than 1,100 enrollees from hundreds of regional nonprofit organizations.

Early each year, it hosts a certificate program, called Strive to Thrive.  This is an intensive, two-day experience facilitated by Tawanda Owsley, Senior Vice-President/Chief Development and Marketing Officer, Hosparus Health. This course typically qualifies for 12 CFRE credit hours. You can download a CFRE tracking document by clicking here.

Upcoming classes for Fall of 2025 to be announced soon.

CFRE Credits: These courses typically qualify for CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) credits with CFRE International. If you have questions about a particular course, please reach out to learning@cnpe.org. You can even download this handy form to track your continuing education hours for CFRE certification or re-certification.
