Finetuning your fundraising skills
moves your organization forward
The CNPE School for Fundraising is a fabulous collaboration with Ashley|Rountree that started in 2021. Together, we recognized the need for affordable, convenient training and networking opportunities for nonprofit leaders to help invigorate their fundraising efforts in a rapidly changing landscape.
Since its inception, the School for Fundraising has served more than 1,100 enrollees from hundreds of regional nonprofit organizations, benefiting from the experience and insight of dozens of local experts.
Early each year, we host our CNPE School for Fundraising Certificate program called:
Strive to Thrive: A 2-day Certificate Course in Fundraising, This is an intensive, two-day experience facilitated by
Tawanda Owsley, Senior Vice-President/Chief Development and Marketing Officer, Hosparus Health. This course typically qualifies for 12 CFRE credit hours. You can download a CFRE tracking document by clicking

Why a Fundraising School?
CNPE started the school in March 2021 in collaboration with nonprofit consulting firm Ashley|Rountree and Associates to fill a gap in the training for nonprofit fundraising professionals in Greater Louisville and Southern Indiana. The James Graham Brown Foundation provided seed funding to launch the school.
The school, operating through an equity lens, aims to significantly improve the ability of our community’s nonprofit sector (staff, board members, and volunteers) to access needed funding through a full range of methods and skills.
Details: Most classes are virtual and cost $75 for CNPE members and $150 for nonmembers. Scholarships are available to members.
CFRE Credits: These courses typically qualify for CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) credits with CFRE International. If you have questions about a particular course, please reach out to
learning@cnpe.org. You can even download
this handy form to track your continuing education hours for CFRE certification or re-certification.
